Are you a photographer looking to explore new 'old' ways to express your photographic vision? Are you looking to learn a process that will open doors to other avenues of creative expression through the world of alternative & historical printmaking techniques such as cyanotypes, Van Dyke brown prints, and salt prints?
I will take you through the wet plate process from start to finish. This workshop will see you working outdoors, in the natural world, just as the pioneers of the process would have worked. I will share these techniques and processes in a fun, relaxing environment.
You won't need to have any previous photography experience or expensive equipment. I'll show you what you need to get started, and while you are learning, the materials and equipment will be supplied.
On offer are:
~ on-demand one-on-one sessions
~ on-demand groups sessions
~ Workshop weekend TBA
*Workshops are all done in the field, on location, so are weather dependant*
Intro to Medium & Large Format Film Cameras on location
Get the basics of Medium & Large format cameras
Go big or go home, they say. In this 2 day workshop we will spend day one with the big fellas out in the forest .or other location shooting with medium format and 4x5 cameras. We will discuss how to load film in the various cameras and film holders, exposure considerations, composition, and camera movements on the 4x5.

Students are encouraged to bring their own DSLR with a 'hot shoe' flash mount for the flash trigger device.
If you do not have a DSLR one will be made available for you.
This is an all day workshop.
This will be a 'real world' location, to be determined and arranged prior to the session.
